Not true. Acme ballscrews are 45% efficient whereas ballscrews are about 90%
efficient. Thus it would take half as much torque to turn a ballscrew than a
acme leadscrew. The only problem withj ballscrews is if you don't have some
king of a pulley drive ratio they may actually backspin in a manual cut on
the axis not being manually turned. I've never seen a acme leadscrew back
spin.
