The problems with that spindle is that it costs about $125 for the
hardware and another $350 for the electronics.

A dremel is the best starter for a cheap machine. since it is modular,
one can have different spindles. each for their needs.

I think you solved the biggest problem. all the small machines I've
seen have hundreds of hours of work and are often phase-1 with more
work to follow.
