At a show recently they had a TV, set up with a camera on a stand, looking
at a running mechanical pocket watch, the image filled a 19 inch TV screen.
And of course extremely high priced set up for people with poor sight, so
all the market would take.

What low priced camera do I use in the shop for something similar, for an
inspection camera for looking at the finished CNC work.
What resolution, specifications, would I need, to just see if the quality,
or fit was good? I know define good........or fit waor
Also to be able to aim it at a mill cutting or a lather bit cutting, place
on a flexible stand, and use a TV to see the work area.
Maybe cover a 1 x 2, inch or larger area, up to 8 1/2 x 11.

Would one of the smaller lipstick sized cameras work? Would it need a lens?
Could I use the old C mount lenses off of 8 mm movie cameras, they show up
cheap quite often at the flea markets. Any low priced Zoom lenses?
Does the pinhole cameras focus at all distances? Any available with a long
focal length so they would have a somewhat narrow field of view, so there
would be relief between the camera and the work?

Any suggestions on Camera brand, and models? Prices, Links?

Feel free to educate me on the right terms. As I don't understand what I
see in the catalogs compared to what I want.

Come on guys I need some more suggestions, and answers on this, especially
the use of C mounts, lenses with any of the lipstick size cameras, with video
outputs.

And I do feel it is on topic, as it allows old weak eyed old men see what
there CNC machine is doing.
