You can make any camera into a closeup camera by putting a magnifying lens
on the front. Just like reading glasses for your eyes. I have some old
closeup lenses from another camera I tape to the front of my digital camera
to photograph really small stuff. It makes for a small depth of focus but
hey, that's how it is for insects. By using multiple lenses you can get
REALLY close, so close you get in they way of your light source.
