All the techniques here are very interesting but if you want to solve a
specfic problem, why not take the minimalist approach. Find out
what the minimal water presure required is and go from there. If your
composite material is no more that 1/8 thick you might not need the
presures associated with cutting 1/2" stock. In any event plain water
is out of the question so you really need a slury feed system to work
with the jet.

Actuallly I think a water jet is less than ideal for this sort of
material with the known delamination issues. Have you considered a
laser instead?
