I'm afraid you may be waiting a long time for personal recommendations.

This would do the job perfectly but I suspect you would not like the

It's compact and very accurate.

This is actually cheaper but much larger. I have had a guy come
around and do a demo with these, they are very good. They are used a
lot in aerospace alignment and construction, the software seemed very
capable too.
