RE: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] which OS ? XP or 2000 ?

XP is far easier to set up, has better driver support, more secure, etc. I
can't see why anyone would want to run 2000 instead of XP, unless it was for
commonality with other existing machines.

Either XP or 2000 are OK for mach.

If you are used to XP I would tend to use that, it's also a little more user
friendly than 2000.

Make sure the PC is fast enough.

I need to get a new box and Tiger Direct has a couple $200 machines,
some have XP, some have 2000

I plan on using Mach3.

Any suggestions on which is easier to use ?

which is more stable ?

I currently use XP and hate it as compared to 98se

I am more of a user than a programmer, so some of the problem is that
I don't know how to keep some of the XP 'features' like stickykeys
from loading and clogging the works.
