John,

Nothing wrong with doing it. Just don't try to do it with the HobbyCNC
driver board. It's only rated to 44Vdc. (That's just over 7x the rating.
Not anywhere near 20x)

I don't know of any Unipolar drive rated to 120Vdc. :-)
