I volunteer to calculate moment of intertia for drive screws, does
anyone know the moment of intertia of the stepper rotor?
Even a roughly dimensioned sketch of the rotor could be used the
closely estimate its moment of intertia.
I'll come use with an equation for the screw moment of intertia with
two variables: diameter and length. It will then be possible to
compare motor to screw moment of intertia. If data can be collected
for a range of motors, we could put a database on the CCED site.
