The problem here is not the cost of a damaged keyboard, but the
situation
that you lose control of a machine tool while it is in the middle of a
job!
It is also possible for a shorted-out keyboard to crash or power-down
the whole system. I think a keyboard cover is well worth the
investment,
so that you can stop worrying about every little curlique that bounces
onto
the keyboard. When doing steel, I'm more interested in getting those
hot
ones off ME than the keyboard!
