I'm greatly relieved to see that I'm not the only person who has this
problem with horizontal surfaces mysteriously covering themselves with
junk.. If I clean off my table saw to use it, three days later, it's
disappeared under a pile of stuff again..

I haven't been able to find my workbench for several weeks now :-)
