Jeremy:
That looks like a nice kit. I wrote the guy who is selling the kits, to
get his recomendation also. I found this web site that must convert them, a
little pricey. With the mill costing $1295 today, I paid $1450 years ago for
mine, and I was expecting about $800-$1000 for the conversion of a small
mill, their price seems way out of site.

They use "Powerful X, Y, and Z-axis micro-stepper motors are size 34 with
1200 in/oz. of torque." on their CNC JR. Looks just like my G1006 mill. I
was hoping someone here had done one of these, to give me the pros & cons of
the different kits. Theirs look like direct drive.
That same company you gave me a link to, also has a 4 PCS Nema 34 Stepper
Motor with Dual shaft 1600oz kit for $739.

or this 3Axis NEMA 34 Wantai Stepper Driver 7.8A,80V kit for $498 that may
fit my needs for now.

That 450oz kit may do all I need to do. Mainly light milling, and drilling
6061. I'll wait and see what the guy says who makes them, before I jump in.
Actually, I spelled it wrong(Armilite) years ago when I picked it out,
after work, at about 4am in the morning, and had already sent it to 20+ people
before I relized it was spelled wrong. The Armalite AR10 .308 was my
favorite rifle. I have both the original, and the new version AR10.

ebay chinese shangzhou motors 450 oz in or larger
http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-axis-Nema23-stepper-motor-428oz-in-CNC-controller-
kit-/170666343501?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27bc81bc4d
i loke mine ive got the 1600 oz in on a large knee mill, I would recommend
if you havent already purchased mach 3 to check out and try linuxcnc in my
PROFESSIONAL opinion and having set up and used both it is far superior.
Also I would note to use the kits with individual drivers and not an
integrated multi axis driver board the reason being if a board goes bad you
have to replace the whole board with indivdual drivers keep a spare and you
are back up and running
I do like the email name
