Sorry, my error. I have the Model Engineers Workshop articles here as well,
and the electronics appears to be identical to the Home Shop Machinist
Langlois electronics. In fact, there is a note above the schematic that
states "Based on a design by Robert Langlois of Ontario, Canada".

The SEDM plans available from Dan Mauch < http://www.seanet.com/~dmauch/>
uses a PC and software to control the stepping motor.
