doubt but that you should just step up and pay if what you want is a
system that works in a known, controlled manner. But there are a lot of
folk that fancy themselves inventors/innovators.
It may be an urban legend, but if Harvey hadn't spilled the white liquid
on a hot stove in the garage, that tire company wouldn't have the problem
that it has today. But there would be other problems.
IMO People who study these things tell us that conceptual revolutions
rarely happen in the design labs of big companies and less often in
large marketing firms or politics. So my thought here is if you wanna
play -- play. Just report the results back to the list so I'll know
whether I want to try it ... or something else.
"Well, that didn't work!" ought to be taken as clear evidence of an
advancement of our understanding of open-source CAD_CAM... rather than as
evidence concerning the mental state of such a post's author.
