Ron, don't spray only at right angles to the screw, make at least two
passes spraying about 30 degrees to the shaft, to try to get the most
release agent as possible on the sides of the thread. Spraying only
square to the shaft tends to put more in the root of the thread.
This was direct advise from the folks at Devitt.
