Ballendo,

I'm not sure it's a matter of intuitive or precise. My intentions are
just to improve upon using keyboard keys that auto-repeat at some
defined rate, with a control that can take ONE finger, and give me
direction AND rate! I guess you could spin BOTH X and Y knobs, and get
angles, curves, etc. (not that I can do that; AND I've got a computer to
do the complicated stuff for me)!

So what is this thing that you crank in a car to make the windows go up
and down? ;>) And I sure don't remember turning something to make the
volume on the TV go up and down!

Have you noticed, the "better" stereo Receivers/Amps have a big volume
KNOB, that can be remotely "turned" for you? Maybe we can adapt one of
those...
