Wrong. Backlash still present, there's just some feedback as to where it
is. Well, I'm running Ahha, no encoder feedback.
I like trying odd things now and then, but when it comes to putting
bread on the table and keeping a roof over my family's heads, I'll stick
with proven technology.
In typical fashion, I embarked upon a plan without thinking it through
completely. It only took a few minutes of real measuring to see that the
hardware I had wouldn't work like I thought, and a few more moments to
realize the whole approach wasn't as cost effective as the off the shelf
quill drive.
