If anyone is seriously considering building one of these, I
have some 19" long 25mm linear rail with some MASSIVE
bearing blocks. These blocks are preloaded, do not use
piddley little round recirculating ball bearings, they use
recirculating needle bearings. I believe that the dynamic
load carrying capacity for these units is something like
7500lbs per bearing.
I also have RFE 7/8 dia NSK ballscrew with single preloaded
nut which is probably more than adequate for the task.
