OK, if the leadscrew is 1/4-20 rod, then you really have to be careful about
putting the leadscrew in compression - it would buckle! I consider it
pushing things to cut .062" depth at full width in aluminum with a 3/8"
cutter. Sometimes on my Bridgeport I do heavier stuff, though.
My only knowledge of the Sherline and Taig are from pictures in
magazines.
