Thanks to everyone who responded to my thread milling question.
I didn't understand how the G02/3 commands really work. If I
read Jon's expaination below correctly, the G17/8/9 commands
specify which plane the arc specified by the G02/3 command will
lie. Any movement specified for any other axis in the G02/3 command
will be linear. Pretty cool. Oh, and Jon, thanks a bunch for the
pointer to your G-code generating programs.
