Ian you'll laugh but close to me is a farm with it own hidroplant.
It dates from 1932 designed with open ball bearings running under water.
it needs grease once a day and was only 3 weeks off in nearly 70 years.
Wind power plan are lots now here in the mountains. They are much more
expensive in installation and maintenance.
I look for years for a farm with own water. Perhaps someone of the group
will be able to build his own Water power plant.
