I wasn't referring to putting roller bearings on Swiss type machines,
but as a bolt on that might allow a conventional CNC lathe to sort of
emulate the Swiss machines. Rollers would have to be fixed to the Z
axis, yet adjustable to the center of the stock.
Yes, chips can be a problem. I didn't have any trouble with the nylon,
heck it's almost impossible to break up a nylon chip on the lathe.
Forgot he's talking about metal. Yeah, sucking chips between the
bearings and stock isn't going to work too well...
