The tracer on this mill goes from the actual stylus itself, down hydraulic
piping and to a controller. I'm thinking that the controller runs a
compressor (I can see a larger motor sticking out of it) to translate the
pressure from the tracer stylus to a higher pressure to control the mills
hydraulics. I was just wondering really if the compressor would make some
god awful noise while it's going later on during the day. To deviate for a
second, could I send you (Smoke) a description of some crucible tongs I'm
building off list? I'd be very grateful if you could take a look and see
what you think because I'm aiming to pour around 25 - 28lbs of iron by hand.
Best wishes,
John
