RS-422 is a low-voltage differential signalling method that can allow
multiple
transmitters to share one data line (or is that RS-423?) RS-232 is a
high-voltage method that has only one wire for each signal.

Sort of. If you don't mind writing code, then certainly, but there may be
much better options.
