Steve: Before I read the remainder of my unread mail of this group, I will
throw in my 2¢ worth: No. Ever look (closely) at how most (smaller, anyway)
stepper motors have their lead-wires attached? Every read the caveats,
"Never dismantle a stepper-motor, as it will cause magnetic regurgitation and
dismemberment of desireable anatomical components!" (or something close to
that)? Ever try to go out and BUY just 24" of 4- or 6-conductor #18 flexible
teflon-insulated conductor shielded cable? (Oh, a couple of us luckily
located near an excellent surplus/junk-dealer might be able to do that, now
and then, but such is NOT a Radio Shack product!)
