DON'T DO IT! Stay with 98, far better than ME. I use 98 and NT at work; we made
the mistake of buying a computer with ME a year ago at home. I've reinstalled ME
four times now, only one of which was my fault. I don't know anything about
2000; NT works pretty nicely. I'd switch to 98 but I can't find a driver for my
sound board.
You could switch to Linux, its pretty nice these days. I'm running Suse; Star
Office is free from Sun and provides pretty good MS Office compatibility.
