just to add a small note (my 2 cents) windows 95 is probably the most
stable of the lot... BUT is missing some stuff that windows 98 has. the
best luck for stability i have found is running 98LITE, which gives you the
option of not installing stuff in windows98, and you can also install the 95
shell instead of the 'web-intigrated' desktop, which is a source for alot of
the instablity. find it at www.98lite.com . windows2000 WAS on this
computer here at work, after struggling with it going into 'debug' mode and
never comming out 5 times a day (not exagerating here), i wiped the drive
and installed 98... (sigh) which is now becoming unstable as well... many
people have told me 2000 is much more stable then 98 or ME... but all of my
expeiences (a someewhat limited number) have been bad. stability, with
windows ease of installation? look into LINDOWS, at www.lindows.com it
should come out early next year. also try wine (stands for wine is not an
emulator) or vmware or win4lin... all good options to use microsoft
software, or hardware that currently only works with windows--- OK, that was
more like 5 cents... but thats ok----Dave L.

Couldn't say, I only have experience with NT4, which I replaced with Linux.
Not
long after, the drive I had NT on died, but the setup worked well while I
had
it. I got a new SCSI drive coming, so now all I have to do is figure out
what I
did with my NT CD.....

Yeah, that happens a lot with Microscruff. :-)
