My guess is Linux won't even boot on your machine. if Windows 2000
is unstable, you are almost guaranteed to have hardware (probably
memory) problems. I am running a demanding CAD package in Win2000
on a Linux system using VMware - it is very impressive, and the whole
contraption is stable, too!
