adding my 2 cents again. if you keep your partitions small, (or use 256 meg
compact flash with ide adapters), you can actually use the linux command
'dd' to make a file that is the 1:1 copy OF a drive, that way when windows
goes inoperable, you can simply copy that info back to that drive, what i do
with this computer is tar and bzip up the three windows partitions, and keep
them in an 'archive' they bzip up small enough to fit on a cdr too! kind
of redundant seeing as i keep all important stuff on the network drives...

precaution--I would unplug
your Linux drive before installing Windows. Plug it in again after install.
You can read the Windows drive from Linux. This makes backups really
nice--write a script
in Unix to back up exactly what you want.
