Gecko question

Is there a big difference between the g201 and the g201a. I
understand they may run cooler as a 201a bcause of idle current
reduction. is the difference in heat easily handled with a good heat
exchanger? I have been reluctant to purchase the 201 because of these
questions. I know some times it's cheaper to do it right the first
time, but for a plasma table running steppers at about 3.5 amps is
there any advantage to the 201a

Also, Camtronics sight lists geckos for sale, but does not specify if
they are the discontinued or the updated versions. I suspect they
are the updates. Can anyone confirm this
