Hi Bill,
Normally I would respond off-list to something like this, but I feel
that the group may be interested in your answer to this....
Being that I like to follow the rules of any group, I am unclear on
something here...
It seems you added a portion to the terms banning
"commercial professional systems, and their users in a
commercial setting. "
How is this qualified?
CNC is a derivative of professional machines by itself. Take the old
Bridgeport knee mill. This is considered a professional machine even
without CNC. Many here have converted these to CNC, or converted CNC
versions of these type machines to newer controls based on the
dialogs of this list. In addition, even people making signs with
their homemade wood routers offer the product for sale and therefore
become "commercial".
Myself as an example, I have professional level machines in my home
shop, and I do eventually hope to sell a product from what they make.
Does that mean that I shouldn't be discussing this type of machine
or the control of it here?
I would just like to know how you would like this line drawn so that
I (and people such as myself) can avoid crossing your policy while
we're here or move elsewhere.
Many Thanks
Sean
