Since this thread mentioned switching from a mill to a lathe and
back, why could one not just wire up both and then use a few relays
to determine which machine was being controlled ?
I too looked at using connectors and decided on a terminal strip in
my control panel, the rubber gromet panel bulkhead connectors and a
quick connet at the stepper.
Molex come in 0.062" up to 6 amps, and 0.093 up to 10 amps.
The round connectors come in various sizes too, from 0.04" (7.5
amps) , 0.062" (13 amps) up to 0.125 inches(45 amps)
