Modem?

Guys, I appreciate all the help that's been thrown at me about the modem
problem ... if that were rated at $.10 per word I'd already be rich. But
I've looked all over the area and can't find a good and not too dear modem
that will work with Linux. If anyone would like to tell me what he's using
on his Linux box, I'd be happy to go buy one like it.
