Watts is the unit of power which is the product of speed and torque, whilst
oz.ins is a measure of torque. At 1000rev/min, 80watts = 108oz.ins but until
we know the speed we don't know the torque which will produce 80watts.

Subject: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Servo questions.
>
> I was offered a pair of servos yesterday, and I realized that, though I
tried to do the research from the FAQ here, and by searching other web
pages, I still have absolutely no clue. My goal is to CNC retrofit the small
Knee mill I already have ( a clone of a clausing 8200 series), and I've been
trying to formulate a game plan. As of now, I'm planning on using servos and
not steppers as I like the idea of the better accuracy through the feedback
of the servos, as well as the faster rapid mode travel. These motors are DC
brushed, 2 wire panasonic servos, with 6 wire encoders, there is no torque
rating, however they say 80 Watts on them. What I needed to know is: Are
these the type of motors I should be looking for? Are they too big to be
driven by Gecko 320s? Is there a general conversion from watts to oz/in?

nothing really on servos. Anyone have a web site URL for something like
this?
