Gene,

One winding goes to 3,4 and the other winding goes to 5,6. It makes
no difference if 3 and 4 are interchanged (or 5 and 6). All that will
happen is the direction will change.

What is a medium speed? When you say it skips, does the motor stall
or does it keep running? From where are you getting the +5VDC that
goes to terminal 10?
