$60 bucks for an 8.5 amp, 24 volt power supply seems like a pretty
decent value. You can always get it cheaper over the hill, near the
rainbow, but you could also waste a lot of time and $$ coming up with
something essentially equivalent for not much less. I would buy it and
focus your energies on getting all the other parts of your CNC system
operational. One less thing that you will have to worry about.
