When they are stopped and in a stalled condition try turning the handwheels
if you have them to see if they are hung up.
How do the tables move at there extremes when hand cranking, any tight spots?
Any chance the couplings are misaligned so they can hang up in a low torque
situation, dial indicate them>>>>>>>>>
