Oh, oh! This will get the list manager mad at us again, but just one reply.

Teflon is eminently machinable. It is soft, so there may be some problem
holding tight tolerances, especially on thin parts.

Teflon is molded from the virgin powder - it looks a lot like snow. I tried
to mold a very complex part, with a zillion core pins, and it didn't work.
The problem was the core pins blocked the flow of the teflon, and so it
didn't pack evenly, and the parts wilted when sintered. A simple part would
not be much trouble, though. Teflon does not cold flow, so injection
molding will not work. After molding, the part is sintered at 450 C to
coalesce the grains and let the air escape.
