Definitely machinable (even if it is a PITA because it creeps and flexes).
BTW, this is an off topic post as general machining and materials are not a
list topic unless you can somehow relate it to building and using a computer
controlled machine. Just to give those that want a little guidance as to on
topic and off topic some direction, here is how I view it (and Bill and I
pretty well agree). If the primary subject of the post deals with the list
topics it is on topic. If the primary subject is not a list topic it is off
topic. As an example, asking can I machine teflon on my CNC machine does not
make it on topic as the primary question is really can I machine teflon and
if so how. The fact that a CNC machine was referenced does not make it a
list topic.
