Hi,
IU have a shoptask running steppers with 300 in-lbs and if I have the
lead screws and nuts alligned, this is enough to drive the table into the
wall. with the 2:1 drive and with 24vdc steppers at 4amps this gives max
power of 96 watts. Your servos are applying 36 vdc at 10 amps giving 360
watts. Should be enough to overcome any normal machine stiction. I dont
think it is a gib tightness problem or you couldnot move the axis by hand.
First insure free and easy motion by hand wheel on each axis. if not youy
may have to adjust the acme screws and nut blocks/bearing blocks. Otherwise
look for problem in motor assys themselves. My first try would be to remove
drive belts and see if motors respond as you expect. Hopefully their
performance will give you a clue where the problem lies, in the mechanics or
electronics. Good Luck, Mike C.
