I can't speak to the availability of Mcam, but Acad is pretty
trivial to obtain for nearly nothing, especially if you want an
older copy. I'm talking about legal, registerable copies too.
Pirated copies are free too, but I won't speak to that either.
Around here, businesses are failing right and left and there are
auctions as well as surplus houses that have programs in boxes
for sale. Surplus houses don't sell pirated copies and stay in
business. They also don't sell programs at enormous prices and
stay in business. Mostly you have to be there to get the higher
priced programs as they aren't advertised. If you go to auctions,
you will find out that software doesn't go for high prices. At
least not in Silicon Valley......
