Re: mastercam

Frankly I'm amazed by some of the questions on this board.
First off it's a board for self help home shop guys. Most of the
questions are about getting to where you want to go as easily and
cheaply as possible. OK that's fine, hobbies don't take preferance.
Hence we have valid questions on EMC, Master5, Dolphin, Gecko's and
Vector to name but a few.
Then we have questions of using Autocad and Mastercam, programs
costing real serious money. Sometimes these questions are by the same
people trying to save a buck ???
I often wonder that if you can afford to buy something like Mcam or
Acad why mess with built it yourself stuff and penny pinching
projects.
This isn't a flame it's just a genuine query.
Can anyone else see where I'm leading? After all running a Taig mill
on Mcam is a bit OTT.
