Could you please confirm the actual travel though? In looking at the
picture on the HF website (I have not seen the mill in person yet) I don't
see how it can have quite that much travel. At the left end of the table
travel, the handwheel will be up against the saddle (if I see the picture
right.) Assuming that you can pass the table halfway off the saddle at the
right end of the travel, the total travel would be the table length minus
half the saddle width. That would seem to me to be less than 9" if the
table is 9-3/8" long. Or can the table move farther to the left also and I
am not looking at the situation correctly?
I do not have a HF location close to me--well, I can't easily take a side
trip while I'm carpooling :-) so I can't check out the mill personally yet.
But I agree, it looks like an excellent value for the money and a great
candidate for CNC conversion.
