Bill,
Having read enough confusing manuals myself, what I try to do is to
employ redundancy.
1) There is the text printed on the can that some have issue with.
2) There is the manual which plainly says what to do.
3) There are graphics on the can that shows what to do.
If there is confusion on one source, I would think the other two
would outvote the ambiguous input. This to me is almost like the "how
many angels can dance on the head of a pin" debate. It's fun, it's
interesting but ultimately it's pointless.
