You couldnt possibly be serious John.. A book covering every different
machine made and covering every device on a tool would be a book of a
slightly larger size...
Pick up a Machinist Handbook if you dont have one already. It covers quite a
few items.
I already renamed my book "Making Stuff Flat". But seriously, just its
coverage of how to "Measure" accurately makes it worth the cost alone.
Sure, anyone can say they have a machine that is level to within 0.0005" but
proving it is a different story.
I know this is off-topic so I wont continue the thread.
