I'm an engineer, and often get calls from customers who
need troubleshooting help. It makes me crazy when they
don't realize how important it is to be clear and accurate.
You don't need to understand what is going on, but if you
want help, you must _clearly_ and accurately describe your
symptoms. If the X axis is broken and the X LED doesn't
light up, while the Y LED does light up, that is important.
You need to make it clear that X is dark and Y is not.
Likewise the "helper" needs to carefully read (or listen)
and make sure he understands what the "helpee" is saying.
