Do a Google on ocx xp parallel port . There are several places offering OCX
controls that will work with VB. Several years ago I did that, cost me $100
as I remember. You have to have some understanding of hex bit representation
as well as the operation of the parallel port registers. To write a VB
program that will generate step and direction pulses (using a special
control) is a matter of a half a dozen statements. To generate pulses for
multiple axis, calculate acceleration, deceleration, estop, etc. moves it
from a freshmen level project to a master level.
