I use a Sears Craftsman. The model that the motor comes off to make a leaf
blower. Works fine. Only problem is cutting oil. Have to change the
plastic hose out a couple of times a year, and the filter almost as
often. Other than that it works fine. Hose gets plugged occasionally with
large bundles of chips. Usually stainless or something equally as
"unfriendly".

Another problem. If chips are small steel - the kind one is SUPPOSED to
make instead of the large bundles - enough can be picked up in a relatively
short period of time so that the vacuum is difficult to lift because of the
weight.
