It's lb-in or in-lb or lb*in or in*lb(pronounced "inch pounds" or "pound
inches"), NOT lb/in(pounds per inch) or in/lb(inches per pound).
Whew! I feel better now.....

Sorry, I misread the ad pertaining to the continuous amperage rating.
However no Amperage limit is stated as well as stall torque. My motors are
rated at 40 lb/in or in/lb with a 5/8" shaft these are more powerful with a
3/8" shaft?

motors are listed for 5 amps continuous. Then it goes on to report what they
would do at 10 amps. My pickups' speedometer goes to 100 mph, the salesman
never mentioned how it handled at 200. Some of these ads that sell these
motors like to throw the big torque stats around. What some dont say is if
taken to the required amperage to achieve the claimed torque they'd be a
pile of ashes at the ends of your leads. One cannot design and intend to use
a servo at stall torque or above. They are rated at 65v/k rpm and a speed
rating of 1750 which means on a Gecko the motor will turn just a bit over
1000 rpm. with a 5:1 screw and a 2.5:1 reduction that is still about 80 ipm.
Which is plenty. Who knows about the torque? Thats why accurate torque
ratings should be listed then we would have real numbers to work with. I've
looked at these motors for a future project and the claims make me leary.

Are you intending
to use the machine as a sideways arbor press? I think you can buckle your
leadscrews with this motor! Do you really apply 36 Lbs of force on the
handles on your machine when cutting? If so, use a 2:1 or 3:1 belt
reduction
drive and you can't possibly not have enough torque.
