Truthfully, I would recommend NOT using any drafting or especially CNC
software until you can program the machine manually.

I was recently involved with getting a machine shop to do some work and
neither the operator nor the shop foreman had much understanding of
basic G Code operations. I gave them a file with hand generated code
and they were lost with it. They didn't know what G2/G3 did ! I put
this down to becoming over reliant on using software to generate tool
paths.

Once you understand how to manually program a CNC machine you can move
on to using automatic toolpath generation software. It will be a lot
easier to understand and troubleshoot the generated code if you
understand first hand how to do it manually yourself.
